The rope for tug-of-war is a twisted cotton three-strand rope.

As a rule, a rope of 40, 35 or 30 mm is used for tug-of-war.

A rope of this diameter is easy to hold, does not slip and provides good "grip strength".

The rope is made of natural cotton fiber, hypoallergenic and durable.

The rules for tug-of-war competitions were developed at the beginning of the last century. In order to win the competition, the stronger team needs to pull the rope until the line drawn on the ground crosses the side mark on the opponent's side (i.e., the rope will have to be pulled at least 4 meters). Also, the team is awarded the victory if one of the opponents falls or sits down (this state of affairs is called a "foul").

In order to successfully compete in tug-of-war competitions, one should develop tenacious and strong hands. Strong upper limbs are an important, but not the only factor. People who want to win in this sport must be harmoniously developed - the strength and endurance of the muscles of the feet, hips, back and especially the forearms are important. Good coordination of movements and the ability to repeatedly withstand maximum force loads are also necessary (after all, the duration of one round (pool) is 10 minutes, the match consists of 3 pools, and during the competition, which usually lasts only one day, there can be from 16 to 20 such matches).

An athlete's stress resistance is no less important. Therefore, training in this sport is very diverse and is a combination of strength exercises, cross-training, endurance exercises and development of reaction speed with tactical and psychological training.

You can order a rope from 1 meter of the desired length and diameter.

It is possible to finish the ends with vinyl handles.

"Valtex" tug-of-war ropes are used for competitive tests during the filming of the TV show "Weighed and Happy". The best trust us!
